I wake up
First thing I do?
I explode of course
I clean myself up
And go down for breakfast
Mushroom omelets!!
And I explode
I go to school hungry
Hungry for some knowledge!
“Get out of my class”
And I explode
I want to do
Something drastic, dangerous
My face is red and
My teeth are clenched
As I walk by
I head home
For the day
Do the dishes, clean the litter
Finish homework and take out trash
He opens his mouth
And all I think is
No. I won’t. Not today.
But I do
I explode
And when I feel
The warmth slipping
Through my fingers
And the smile on my face
Stretched from ear to ear
I know
That I a done
And I’ll never explode again
